How DVR Services Work

Step 1: Talk with Your DVR Counselor
Tell your counselor that you are interested in self-employment services through Colorado RAD.

Step 2: Identify the Appropriate Service
You, your counselor, and Colorado RAD may discuss which authorized service best supports your employment goal.

Step 3: Receive Written Authorization
Colorado RAD must receive written authorization from your DVR counselor before any DVR-funded service begins.

Step 4: Complete Your Initial Meeting
We will discuss your business, current stage, communication preferences, accessibility needs, goals, and approved deliverables.

Step 5: Work Through the Authorized Service
Services may include meetings, guided exercises, research, document development, coaching, website production, or other specifically approved activities.

Step 6: Review Progress and Deliverables
Colorado RAD will provide the participant and counselor with the required deliverables, progress documentation, and service reports.
